At ARSTechne, we believe in working with Nature's principles to harness the full potential of the head, hands, and heart and to bring joy, wonder, and beauty to the world around us.
Our aim is to nurture, preserve, and expand the traditional crafts through education, community building, and by empowering individuals to proactively design and build their own homes and lives.
We feel happiest when we are making our own bit of the world more fun, more beautiful, and more weird, and when we’re empowering others to do the same.
Building your own stuff feels good when you make it, good when you use it, is much easier than you think, and releases us from the clutches of the corporate-capitalist machine.

ARSTechne was born out of a passion for creating beautiful, unique products. Our company was founded in 2000 in San Francisco and we've been bringing old items back to life through patient and accurate restoration ever since. As well as creating one-off and bespoke projects, we offer learning residencies to inspire individuals to live fulfilling lives outside societal norms.
Our community of artisans and craftspeople are dedicated to preserving traditional skills and techniques. We believe in the power of education and personal empowerment to make a positive impact on the world. Join us on our journey to inspire and create.
